Our Physicians Assistants are medical professionals with thousands of hours of medical training and experience. They offer a versatile talent spectrum that help us to diagnose, prescribe medications, manage treatment plans and are often a patient’s principal healthcare provider. PA’s have the ability to focus their studies on specific areas of healthcare such as chronic illness treatment or disease treatment. Our PA’s are critical in our mission to provide low-cost quality care to the residents of Southeastern Idaho.
Since 2001, I’ve helped solved medical problems for thousands of individuals in a primary care outpatient setting. My absolute favorite part of medicine is helping patients solve problems and embrace new perspectives on health and wellness. I aim to get to the root cause of problems, so they can be removed or altered. I take a holistic approach to patient care, involving the mind, body, soul, and pharmacotherapy.
I graduated from Midwestern University – Glendale Campus with a Masters in Health Professions Education. I’d say I have a passion for teaching and I have taught residents, medical students, and PA students at Midwestern, A.T. and Idaho State. During my time at Idaho State I had the opportunity to play a leading role in a 3-year transformation of the I.S.U. Family Medicine Residency program into a Therapeutic Lifestyle Center program that incorporates mental health, physical activity, nutrition, pharmacotherapy, and integrative medicine.
I was able to present my research findings of this process at the American College of Sports Medicine Conference in Denver, CO.
I enjoy spending time with my husband and three boys. I have a passion for learning, creating and presenting stories as well as composing music. I’ve been able to write a bestselling book titled Unstuck and Unstoppable: Simple 5-Minute Hacks to Break Free from Fear, Stress, or Hopelessness & Step Into a Purpose-Filled Life. I published my first fictional novel called X-Spelled in the summer of 2018 and I am working hard to debut my musical at a local theater in the summer of 2019.
My other interests include personal development, neuroscience, real estate investing, and mentoring others to success. I’ve developed a program to help young women overcome challenges and fears so they can become leaders of tomorrow.
